When we were traveling yesterday, a woman asked us where we were going and we told her we were going to Mission, Texas, to help repair houses and tutor kids. She complimented us and said it was amazing that we were giving up our spring break to help those in need. She said, “there should be more people like you and your group in the world.” It’s nice to hear those kinds of things.

We left the Cleveland airport around 11:00 a.m. and got to McAllen, Texas, around 9 p.m. It was a busy day of traveling. Our plane was delayed 40 minutes so the students played spoons in Houston, Texas, while waiting to catch our connection to McAllen.
Pastor Dave at the First Presbyterian Church greeted us when we got to the church and gave us the run down and rules and told us about attractions and things to do in town.
Today is a day to relax, so we’re going to the beach. Then we’ll be having dinner at the church (they’re cooking for us).
